Dr. Sam Germany (B.M., M.M., D.M.A.) has been a vocal teacher and music teacher for over 45 years. He served as professor of music at Cedar Valley College (DCCCD) for 38 years.  He has worked as Director for Family Music Theatre for 30 years and directed over 75 shows for Family Music Theatre.  He is the founder of FMT, a highly acclaimed company that has provided top quality theatre and music productions for the south Dallas area for 30years.  Sam has recently stepped down from his full time college teaching to focus on the non-profit GENERATIONS INSTITUTE FOR CREATIVE ARTS (which now includes Family Music Theatre) and his private studio.

Sam is a dedicated educator who wants to help his students find their voice. Whether it is a young person or a more mature voice - in classical art song or music theatre, he can help his students find new dimensions in their vocal training with health and flexibility. He has a wealth of experience in coaching and instructing the music theatre voice.  High belting differentiation and development is a specialty.  A strong foundation of essential breathing technique, posture, air usage, registration development is critically supported.  Sam is also an accomplished keyboardist and accompanist in various styles, and an expert sightreader.

He loves gardening in his yard and playing with his granddaughters, Rose and Autumn! Sam and his lovely wife Teri, share their home with Gramma Jeane, and Bonnie (their dog).

Sam is looking forward to working with more private students and sharing his love for music and especially musicals with a broader audience.
