Welcome to the Dr. Sam Germany Music Studio!
My private studio encompasses instruction in voice and music theory. Regardless of current expertise, I believe that everyone can improve upon their basic talent. While not everyone is expected to perform professionally, all students should expect to understand their instrument better and grow as a singer/musician. I am excited to help YOU find and develop your voice and build your musicianship! As a pianist, I can also provide my services as a professional accompanist.
-
Vocal Instruction: I am prepared to offer instruction at any level of expertise - beginning to advanced. I am committed to the classical essentials of healthy singing. However, with over 26 years of directing musical theatre, I am also prepared to teach Broadway styles including the high belt mechanism. At the present time, I will not be accepting voice/theory students under the age of 13. If you desire a referral to another studio for younger students, please contact me and I will be happy to help you find a strong teacher.
-
Music Theory: I believe strongly in the importance of music literacy. With 38 years of college teaching background, one of my specialties is the study of Music Theory. I am fully equipped to instruct in all levels of theory - from music fundamentals for beginners to college-level equivalencies of Music Theory I-IV.
-
Professional Accompanying: I have provided professional accompanying in classical music since I was a freshman in college, with special emphasis in vocal repertoire. I can be engaged for accompanying recitals/competitions or gigs in various styles. I can also record accompaniments for your use in rehearsals or tracks for performance.
